The Antila II CD player introduces many unique technical and ergonomic innovations to combine state-of-the-art performance with total ease of use.
Recently updated with a whole new Digital to Analogue board including new circuit layouts to provide decreased noise and improved soundstaging, as well as the use of high quality audiophile components in place of the previous surface mount parts, the performance reaches new levels, particularly in the extreme precision of the bass region; the delicate, analogue-like high frequencies and the expansive yet explicitly focused soundstage.
The Antila II is fully LIPS® compliant, allowing a press of the play button to power up the amplifier(s) from standby and select the CD input. Used in a totally purist, single-source system with the Hydra power amplifier, the Antila II will even control the amplifier's volume via LIPS® commands with the volume display read out in the Antila II's LCD display.
The unique MD² Active Differential Multi-DAC technology employs twenty 24 bit / 192 kHz multi-bit Delta-Sigma converters as multiple voltage sources. A fully balanced digital data stream is generated from the CD data and fed to multiple DACs selected for their audio quality. The result is significantly reduced levels of noise and distortion, thereby producing a breathtakingly real musical performance and a tactile panoramic image.
LIPS® ensures the ultimate simplicity in use and flexibility for the future.
